Ingalls, Kenneth

Kenneth Stuart Ingalls Ken or Kenny as known to his friends and family took his last breath Friday May 3rd 2013. Ken had just celebrated his 60th birthday at the St-Luc Hospital in Montreal on April 2nd. Ken was predeceased by his children Adam (1990), Annabelle (1991), Arielle (1991) and Eric (1992-2003) Beloved husband of Carmen (Howard) Ingalls, son of the late Hibbard (Georges) Ingalls and Mildred Bryant. He leaves to mourn his sons Victor Howard Ingalls and Roger Howard Ingalls, his sister Glenna (late Jim Densman), his brothers Douglas (Helen Kerr) and Winston (Ann), his sisters in law Monique, Diane, Suzanne, his brother in law Winston (Leslie Cunningham),many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, friends. Ken was born and raised on the family farm where he worked happily until “Farmer’s Lung” forced him out in 2006. Then he baked bread and drove school bus for ETSB. In 2011, when Farmer’s Lung looked like it was going to win, Ken got a second lease on life THROUGH THE GENEROUSITY AND COMPASSION of a 40 year old woman and her family who had discussed about and agreed upon ORGAN DONATION. DONATING HER ORGANS AT TIME OF DEATH, ALSO HELPED 6 OTHER PEOPLE THAT DAY. Because of that family’s generosity, we got 2 more years as a family. Ken took his dream train trip across Canada. Ken passed away from liver and kidney failure brought upon by the Hepatitis E virus, it mimics organ rejection. When the final diagnosis came there was not enough time to find suitable organs and Ken was too weak. Survival depends on AVAILABILITY OF HEALTY ORGANS, THE AVERAGE WAITING TIME IS 18 MONTHS, and it is a long time to struggle to breathe. As per Ken’s wishes, there is no visitation or church service, a simple graveside service 11h00 at McConnell cemetery, on June 15th, followed by a coffee hour at Beulah United Church vestry. The family will be there and 2 books; one for signatures, the other for sharing stories and pictures about Ken. In lieu of flowers, donations to an education fund for the boys: Cheques need to be made out to «Global Maxfin Investments» and a note in memo «In trust for Victor and Roger Howard Ingalls RESP account» Cheques can be given directly to Carmen or mailed to: C/o Tim Goddard, 151 Queen st., Sherbrooke, Qc J1M 1J8 and the following organizations of your choice would be greatly appreciated: Beulah United Church: 967 rue Main, Ayer’s Cliff, Qc.
