Patrick Armstrong, Brenda-Pearl

Passed away at the Wales Home, Richmond on Wednesday April 16, 2014 at the age of 94. Pearl was the daughter of the late Ernest Patrick and the late Melissa Dowd. Loving wife of the late James Lorne Armstrong and cherish mother of Dennis (Linda), Lynn (Sharon) and Donna (Mario Jolin). Much loved gramma of Lindsay (Trevor), Derek (Michele), Erik (Monica) and Marie-Lisa and great gramma of Olive, Frederick and Maddox. Dear sister of Marjorie (late Percy Frazer). She also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews and relatives of the family Frazer, Patrick, Armstrong, Blanchette and Kydd. Resting at Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale S., Richmond, on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 1 to 2 pm followed by the funeral service at 2 pm. A special thank you to Dr. Natasha Vincent for all her care and compassion throughout the years. Also our gratitute to all the staff at the Wales Home for their kindness and compassion during her stay with them.

MacDonald, John (David)

Passed away peacefully at the CHUS Fleurimont on April 11th 2014 in his 87th year. Predeceased by his wife Remelda Coates and his partner Celina Proulx. Survived by his children David Allan, Debra (Réjean), Jeff (Doris) and his grandchildren Valerie, Pascal (Sabrina), Kathy (Maxime), Lizza (Mickeal) as well as his great grandchildren Mia and Tristan. He is also survived by Ruth (Late Don), Joyce (Late Wendell) and was predeceased by his sister-in-law Sylvia (Late Cecil). Visitation at Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College Street, Sherbrooke on Tuesday April 15th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm, and at the Scotstown Presbyterian Church on Wednesday April 16th from 12 to 2 pm followed by the funeral service at 2 pm. Interment at the Lingwick Cemetery, Gould, at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Lingwick Cemetery, Gould or to the Riverview Cemetery, Scotstown.

Henderson , Barbara

Barabara Henderson, residing at the Wales Home, passed away at the CHUS Fleurimont, Sherbrooke, surrounded by family on Friday April 11th 2014 at the age of 81 years. Loving wife of the late Lawrence Henderson and dearest friend of Albert Cayer. Barbara also leaves to mourn her sister Dian (late Merle Webster) and her brother Eric (Helen), his sisters-in-law Patricia Henderson (late Ross) and Audrey Henderson (late Lorne). She was predeceased by her brothers and sister Kenneth, Ralph, Franklin (Shirley), Ross (Patricia), Lorne (Audrey), Raymond (Jacqueline), Edward, Gilbert (Wendy) and Janet (Doug). She also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will take place at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale S., Richmond on Tuesday April 15th from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm, as well as on April 16th from 1 to 2 pm followed by the funeral service at the funeral home at 2 pm. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Wallace, Richard

RICHARD REID WALLACE 1922-2014 After a long and courageous battle with his illness,it is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Reid Wallace on April 9, 2014. He leaves to mourn his wife Theresa and his four daughters ; Sandra (Walter Pare), Shirley (Hugh McNeal), Pearl (Wesley Webb),and Lena (Andrew Edwards); He leaves 9 grandchildren, 2 (step-grandchildren), 7 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends, A graveside funeral will be held at a later date. A special thank you to the nurses and nurses aids at the Magog Hospital Residence for the incredible care that he received over the last few years. Forever in our hearts.

Belknap, James

It is with deep sadness that we let you know about the passing of Jim Belknap on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the age of 80. He was the beloved sweetheart of Sue Beaton and loved by her daughters, Tamara (Jean-Christian Glaude) and Jennifer Lapointe. Jim will also be sadly missed by Jenny, mother of his beloved daughter, Robyn (Jarrod Tetreault). Last but not least he leaves to mourn his dear brother Merrick, grandchildren Nicolas and Dominic, Hannah and Grace as well as extended family members and friends. Visitation will be at Cass Funeral Homes Inc., 545 Dufferin St., Stanstead, Que. on Sunday April 13, 2014 from 1:00-3:30 p.m. and the service will be held from 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Our thanks are given to all the doctors, nurses and hospital staff who were responsible for the wonderful care Jim received at the Centre de Sante et de Services Sociaux de la MRC de Coaticook, Albert Samson Palliative Care unit. Thank you also to all of the CLSC nurses who faithfully took care of Jim at home for the past two years. Thank you Manon.

Sharman, Donald

Donald Sharman, WWII Veteran, passed away at the CSSS Memphre- magog on April 2, 2014 with his family at his side. Don was in his 95 year. Loving husband of 62 years to Lil Dustin. Amazing father of Tom (Laurie Schoolcraft), Jim (Cathy Fisher) and Shelly (Bruno Vanasse). Adored grandfather to Brianne, Jarrett, Zachary-Cy, Reece (Anneke Schmickler), Bethany, Hannah and Brittany. Dear sister of Phylis Derwin. Don lived for his family and lived life to the fullest. He loved being in his garage with friends stopping by to chat. A very special thanks to the staff at the CSSS Memphremagog for their dedication and care of Don which went above and beyond. The family couldn't have asked for more. As per Don's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has been entrusted to Cass Funeral Home. Passed away at the CSSS Memphrémagog on Tuesday April 1st, 2014, Mrs Eleanor Bonnallie in her 87th year. Loving wife of the late Norrey Bonnallie and of the late Lionel "Lee" Langlois. Sister- in- law of the late Eunice (late Milton Brown), the late Thelma (late Harry Widdifield), Roma Bonnallie, Constance (John Cowan) the late Glenn, Martin (Johanne) and the late Carl Bonnallie. Eleanor also leave to mourn many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Passed away at the CHUS Fleurimont on March 30, 2014, at the age of 56. Dear son of the late Paul Tellier and the late Rita Groleau. Cherished husband of Françoise Guillemette and adoring father of: Eric Garneau, (Andréanne Courtemanche), Pascal Garneau (Joanna Dés Près) and Nathalie Garneau (Kevin Spooner); Precious grandfather of : Josh, Matt, Shawn, Keira and the late Nathan; Martial will also be sadly missed by his brothers-in-law and sisters in-law: Germaine (Fernand), Clément (Denise), Herman (Réjeanne), Roger (Lucie), Diane, Jean-Marc (Johanne), Angêle (Bruno), François (Nicole) and Mario (Nancy); brother in law of the late Benoit and the late Robert (Denise). He also leaves many nieces, nephews, aunts and friends. Lavallee, Ruth

On Friday, March 28th, Ruth Constance Burroughs Lavallee passed away peacefully at St. Pat’s Home in Ottawa. She was born on April 10th, 1921 in Sherbrooke, Quebec. After graduating as a nurse from Sherbrooke Hospital in 1941, Ruth married Earl J. Lavallee in 1945 and had one daughter, Elizabeth, born of this union. Her nursing career covered a variety of positions including private duty, floor supervisor of nursing, obstetrics, the recovery room and working in a doctor’s office. Over the years, she was very active in the Sherbrooke Hospital alumnae and served as president for two terms. These leadership and organizing qualities continued to be put to good use. Ruth was a staunch, active and valued member of Plymouth-Trinity United Church serving as a member of the session for twenty years, member of the choir for over forty years, and president of the U.C.W. for three terms during her fifty years as a member. Both of her parents were from England, however, it was at Plymouth-Trinity Church where they first met. Entertaining was a great enjoyment and the more there were around the table, the better she liked it. Hopefully, the meal was to be followed by a lively game of cards. Ruth was steadfastly generous with her time and advice helping a large circle of friends, family and causes over the years. Manners were always important and proper grammar was a must. Ruth is survived by her daughter Elizabeth, son-in-law Joel Waldron and two grandsons Jonathan Richard (Sofya) and Jared Earl Waldron (Liisa) of whom she was very proud; also survived by nephews, cousins, as well as two special cousins and wonderful friends, Dorothy Lothrop and Norma Brown. She is predeceased by her parents Richard and Annie Moss Burroughs, husband Earl J. Lavallee, brother W. Richard Burroughs and wife Margaret (Peg) Drummond, sister Bet and brother-in-law Lloyd Cartwright. A Service of Celebration will be held at Plymouth-Trinity United Church, 380 Dufferin, Sherbrooke, Quebec on (date) at (time) and internment at Elmwood Cemetery. A reception will follow. Patrick, Iris (1930 - 2014)

Passed away peacefully at the Asbestos Hospital on Tuesday March 25th, 2014, with her loving family by her side, Iris Patrick at the age of 83. Loving mother of the late Sandra (Irvin Danforth), Donna (late Jean-Noel Pinard), Patricia (David McBurney), the late Marlene, Richard, Michael (Frances Cosgrove), and John Semple. Dear Nanny of the late Shannon Danforth, Kandy Pinard, Nathalie Ouellet (Jeffrey Tanguay), Darlene Perreault, Christopher Semple (Jaime Borduzak),Tiffany Semple (Grant Marquardt), and James Semple III. Iris also leaves to mourn, her great grandchildren Gabrielle, Abigayle, Madisyn, Carson, Keenan, Hudsyn, and Acelynn, along with her sisters, Dorothy (late Clifford Gunter) and Gail (late Robert Robertson), many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Iris was predeceased by the father of her children, James Ellery Semple, as well as her brothers Leslie (late Mary Pariseau) and Lynn (Carol). Visitation will be held at the Danville Legion, 136 Grove St., Danville, on Wednesday April 2nd from 2 to 4:30 PM, followed by a memorial service with Rev. Wanda Dillabough officiating.
