St-Onge Watson, Yvette

Passed away at La Maison Aube-Lumière, Sherbrooke, on Friday September 3rd, 2010 at the age of 71. Wife of the late Cecil Watson, and daughter of the late Alcide St-Onge and the late Auria Ferland. Dear moter of Robert (Lucie Pilotte), Lorraine (André Jalbert), the late Caroline, Guy (Nathalie Asselin), Anne (Jean- Marie Guillette), Marc-André (Chantal Richard) and Lyne. Yvette also leaves to mourn, her grandchildren; Nicolas, Kevin, Samantha, Roxanne, Karl, Kathy, Elodie, Sophie, Ève, Jéréme and Jacob; her great-grandchildren, Noémi and Gabriel; her brothers and sisters, Léo St-Onge (Annette), Henri St-Onge (Claire Cormier), Gisèle St-Onge (the late Nelson Watson), and Jocelyne St-Onge (Marc-André Langlois). She also leaves her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Grant Watson (Alison), Ceona Watson (the late Benoit Roy), and the late Wayne Watson, along with her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, consins and many friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale S., Richmond, where friends may visit on Thursday September 9th from 7 to 9 PM. A funeral mass will be held at St-Bibiane Catholic Church on Friday September 10th at 2:00 PM (please note: the family will be at the church to receive condolences 1 hour prior to the service) Interment in St-Philippe cemetery, Windsor. In lieu of flowers, donations to La Maison Aube-Lumière would be greatly appreciated by the family.



Sherman, Jean

Passed away in peace, following a lingering illness. She was with us from November 29, 1927 to August 16, 2010. She will be missed by her sister June and her husband Frank Moller, and their family, her sister Shirley and her husband Bruce Croft and their family, and the family of her deceased brother Michael Sherman. Stevens, Sydney

Passed away peacefully following a brief illness, on Sunday June 6th, 2010 in his 91st year. Loving husband of 68 years to Patricia, and dear father of Sandra (Jim Meyers) and Greg (Lucie Philippon). Dear grandfather of Shelley, and Christopher (Rebecca) Stevens, and Michael and Matthew Meyers. Sydney also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held in the Trenholm United Church on Monday June 14th at 2:00PM with the Rev. Reginald Jennings officiating. Interment in the Trenholm Cemetery. Donations to the MS Society or to the Children’s Wish Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.



Smith, Daniel

Smith, Daniel Passed away at the CHUS Fleurimont, Sherbrooke on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the age of 51 years. Beloved spouse of Sylvie Hamel and dear son of Hubert Smith and Janine Poulin. Daniel leaves to mourn his son Steve Smith ( Courtney Williams), and his granddaughter Kayla Smith, his brothers Alain (Cindy) and Pierre (Line) and his sister Tina (Alain) along with his nephew and nieces, other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the staff on the 7th floor at the CHUS Hospital, Fleurimont for the wonderful care given to Daniel. A visitation for the late Wayne Simons will be held on Friday, June 11th

June 12th in the Theford Mines Anglican Cemetary on Johnson St.at 11:30 am, followed by a luncheon in the Anglican Church Hall on Alfred St. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Quebec, 2630 King West, Sherbrooke, QC J1J 2H1. or to any charity of your choice, would be greatly appreciated.



Swanson Fidler, Doris

Fidler, Doris (nee Swanson) Surrounded with love at the CHUS-Fleurimont Hospital on Friday, February 12, 2010. Doris passed away peacefully. Loving wife of Skip Fidler and loving mother to Karen, Kathy (Wayne) and Krista. Dear Mor Mor to Colin (Dana), Erika, Eric and Kajsa and great Mor Mor to Noah and Owen. Doris leaves to mourn her sister Mary Esther Fountain (Charlie) and her nephews Brian and Donald and her niece Esther Ann. Smith, Stewart

Passed away after a lengthy battle at the CHUS Fleurimont on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at the age of seventy-five years. Cherished husband of Dorothy Fountain and precious father of: Rodney (Donna), Ronald, Judy (Jim), Marc, and Kevin; Stewart will also be sadly missed by his nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, along with his brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 545 Dufferin, Stanstead , Qc.819-876-5213 /http://www.casshomes.ca on Friday, February 12, 2010, where friends may visit from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00. The service will be held in the Centenary United Church on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. followed by interment in Griffin Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their most sincere appreciation to the staff of the 3rd- 8th- and 10th floors at the CHUS for the wonderful care given to Stewart and also the Dialysis unit of the Magog Hospital. Passed away peacefully at the Wales Home in Richmond on Sunday January 24th, 2010 at the age of 96. Loving wife of the late Borden Parsons, and dear aunt of David Johnston (Joanne). Dear sister of the late Hazel (Ernie Newell) and the late Christena (Eric Johnston) and sister-in-law of Trevor Parsons. Stewart Kendall, Catherine


Passed away at the Magog Hospital on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the age of 82 years. Honey was the beloved wife of Clarence Kendall. Mother of Janna and Doug (Suzan) and grandmother of Jamie and Andrew. She was predeceased by her brother Jim and leaves to mourn two sisiters Jean Stefano of Lennoxville and Patsy Brown of Fredericton NB. Honey was a graduate of Dalhousie High School in New Brunswick and received her music degree at Mt. Allison University in Sackville NB. Honey moved to Quebec in 1949 and taught music, home economics and commercial sewing in several high schools in the Eastern Townships including Alexander Galt Regional High School until 1984. Honey is resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville) (819)564-1750 / http://www.casshomes.ca where friends may call on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Cherished grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 11.
