Passed away peacefully at Arthabaska Hospital in his 85th year on July 5th. Husband of Mary Hannan. Father of Cynthia (Chris Leahy) and Michael (Joanne Besmargian), grandchildren Matthew (Angela McIntosh), Lucas (Stephanie Boyd) and Abe Leahy, Rebecca, Bridget and Evan Taylor. His sister Ardyce "Mickey" (the late Max Parker). He is predeceased by his brother Albert (Kathleen Badger), sisters Edith and Jessie (the late Joe Parker) and grandson Reuben Leahy. A funeral service will be held on July 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Sydenham Church, followed by the burial at Maplewood Cemetery, St. Felix-de-Kingsey, QC with the Reverend Venerable Dean Ross. Herbie was a kind, loving man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also had a passion for animals, literature, farming and the vegetable stand, which he ran for a number of years. Helen Rena Tetreault, dear mother of Richard (Marilyn) of Mayerthorpe AB, and Linda (Ron Smith) of North Hatley QC. Cherished grandmother of David and Ricky Johnston, and Ronald (Wendy) and Cheryl Smith, and great grandmother of Alexander and Abigail Smith and of Nina Johnston. Helen is survived by her 3 sisters, Evelyn (the late Norman Rollins), June (Origéne Boudreau) and Sybil (Gaston Gauvin), and is pre-deceased by her brother Ted and her sister Dorothy. Helen also leaves to mourn several nieces, nephews and friends. In respect of Helen's wishes, cremation was held, to be followed by a funeral service in the spring. Wife of the late Robert Côté, and dear mother of Rita (late Roger Lessard), the late Normand Côté, Jeannine (Nelson Viens), Donald (Barbara Wheeler), and Lyse (Calvin Belknap). She was pre-deceased by her brothers, sisters and their spouses, Aldéric (Louise), Philias (Germaine), Yvonne (Ernest), Johnny (Marie-Ange), Eddy (Bertha) and Henri (Marie-Ange). Loving grandmother of Renée, Raymond, Rickey, Paul, André, Jean, Louise, John, Michael, Richard, Dawn, Brian and Lysa. Leda also leaves to mourn her 31 great grandchildren, her 3 great great grandchildren and her sisters Doria (the late Georges St-Jean) and Bernadette (the late Charles Sabourin). A funeral Mass will be held at the Sacré Coeur Catholic Church in the spring, followed by the interment in the parish cemetery.
